Oaktree Builders has been building homes since 2003 in Augusta County, Virginia, and the surrounding Shenandoah Valley. We focus on creating well-crafted homes at prices that make sense for families in our community. Our goal is to support and strengthen our community through the homes we build and the work we do. Oaktree Builders is a family-owned and operated business. We take care in hiring and working with people who share our commitment to our business and community. Over the years, our team has grown thoughtfully, and we are proud of the group we have built. Each member of our team plays a key role in planning, building, and supporting every home from start to finish.
Thomas Roes
PRESIDENT
Thomas spends his days acquiring new projects, working with local municipalities, and overseeing all development work. His vision and leadership prepare us to look forward to our next big thing so the rest of us can stay busy with our day to day work.
Sarah Yoder
CONTROLLER
Sarah manages all financial aspects of the company. Her attention to detail and accounting expertise keep both the office and field teams informed and projects running on track.
Dwayne Roes
DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION
Dwayne manages and supervises each home we build, along with our entire construction operation. His dedication to quality and strong trade partnerships ensures we can continue delivering well-built homes for our communities.
Callie Roes
GENERAL MANAGER
Callie connects office and field activities, ensuring we deliver on our commitments and communicate clearly with homeowners. She focuses on making the semi-custom home process a smooth and straightforward experience from start to finish.
Simon Brown
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Simon operates heavy machinery to prep homesites, dig foundations, and grade lawns. His skill and safe operation allow us to manage excavation work in-house and maintain close oversight of every site.
Josh Brown
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Josh operates equipment for trenching, site prep, and grading throughout the building process. His work ensures every lot is properly prepared so each home is built on a solid foundation.
Chase Sprouse
PROJECT MANAGER
Chase manages job sites, coordinates finishing activities, and ensures each home meets the standards Oaktree Builders is known for. He keeps projects on schedule and makes sure every home is ready for move-in day.
Jacob Jones
DRAFTING & ESTIMATING SPECIALIST
Jacob designs and estimates new projects, producing detailed 3D drawings for clients before construction begins. His thorough pre-construction work ensures everyone is aligned and prepared throughout the build.

KK Homes of Long & Foster Real Estate is our exclusive partner in home sales. They bring local market experience and guide clients through the contract process, acting as a trusted extension of our team.
The Oaktree Builders Foundation
LARRY ROES, FOUNDER & VISIONARY
Larry Roes was a founding member of Oaktree Builders in 2003, dedicating his life to creating a home construction company he could be proud of. His focus was on providing meaningful work for individuals in the construction industry. Many of the trade partners we work with today have been with
Larry and Oaktree Builders since the early days, which is something we are deeply proud of.
Larry valued relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, banking partners, real estate professionals, local officials, and customers. Many of these connections became friendships that he cherished. He held high expectations for everyone he worked with, always striving to treat people with respect and dignity.
He spent much of his time in prayer for Oaktree Builders and all the lives the company touched. His family often found him in in his easy chair in the early mornings or late at night with his Bible in his lap, seeking guidance on God’s mission for his life and praying to be a good steward of the resources he was given.
rry was tragically killed in an accident in June 2024. His loss is still deeply felt, but we are grateful for the time we had with our father, mentor, and business partner. We continue to apply the lessons he taught us and hope to honor his wisdom and vision in every home we build and every project we take on. We hope he would be proud of the work Oaktree Builders continues to complete.
